I AM 'THIS POLLYANNA.'

This Pollyanna is all about encouraging optimism and positivity.

I was named Pollyanna after the book and Disney film 'Pollyanna,' in which the little girl plays the 'Glad Game.' Growing up I was encouraged to play the glad game just like the little girl in the book, always looking for the silver linings of every situation. It's a game that has served me well over the years but I'd be lying if I told you it was always easy, it's really not. I'm only human and I too have found myself in some pretty negative thinking spirals. But, (and I guess to put a positive spin on it) it's because of those unfortunate times I now know for sure that optimism and positive thinking is a far better place for me to build from. It's not about denying anything is bad but it is about not staying stuck. It's about finding our strength despite any pitfalls life may throw our way and lifting each other up.

There are about 40 years and a lot of crazy happenings in between these two photos, I'm still learning every day.
